The
Genesis of this site began nearly a decade ago when I first started
looking for people who thought like I did. The internet was already
a fantastic place, but I had a great deal of difficulty finding
good current information about the BDSM community- not in New
York, not in Los Angeles, but right here at home.
While
there are plenty of sites out there that have good information,
they seem to be too focused on national groups, that have no bearing
on the middle of the United States, or they are very myopic, concerned
mostly with the activities of a single group.
The
vision for this site is to give the local Central United States
BDSM community a place to gather, discuss and grow. Ultimately,
my goal is to unite the Central BDSM community, and show the rest
of the world that there is a hell of a lot more going on around
here (sometimes behind closed doors... and sometimes in plain
site), than anyone ever thought was possible.
The
states that this site focuses on are Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas,
Missouri, Arkansas, New Mexico, Louisiana and Colorado. I will
be posting events, munches, mailing lists, groups and conventions
that exist in this community. I invite the members of the community
to help make this a serious resource for the old guard and newbies
alike. I welcome local writers to submit work telling us about
the groups, events and individuals that make a difference. Let's
see what's going on out there!
I
can say that the local community is far greater than it was when
I first began my journey, many years ago, but I believe it can
be even greater. With your help.
